Born in Cardiff, David began his professional footballing career in 2004 at Bristol City before moving on to sign for Premier League football team, Wigan Athletic. He is a full Welsh international, making his debut against Azerbaijan in October 2005. David went on to play a number of English clubs including Sheffield United, Swansea City, Birmingham City and Bristol City before retiring from football in 2017.

 After retiring, Cotterill revealed that throughout his career he had suffered with depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and that he had battled with alcohol problems and went to rehab in order to battle the issues of alcoholism. Since leaving the game, David has worked hard to gain the help that he needed to be a good father and husband and truly wants to make a difference to the lives of others. 

 David has set up his own mental health foundation and is raising more awareness for addiction. David provides mental health talks all over the world to help inspire others to seek help and overcome the barriers they face. The aim of the foundation is to educate and inspire communities to speak up, support each other and take action. 

 David now works in partnership with the Football Association of Wales and Mind and is also looking to take on additional training this year to become a fully trained mental health therapist.

Introbiz Swansea and West Wales launches at the Guildhall, Lord Mayor’s Reception Room with the full Support of Swansea Council. The event is sponsored by Swansea Council and JR Events and Catering, who catered the star studded event honouring Catherine Zeta Jones just over a month ago. Businesses will be able to network and rub shoulders with Welsh Rugby legends, Captains of Industry and Cabinet members. You will hear first hand about the plans Introbiz has which are fully collaborative with other networks to expose local businesses to global entrepreneurs who will inspire and also open up opportunities. Introbiz brought Lord Alan Sugar to Wales last year and this December it is taking members to Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island!

The Introbiz Expo is returning for an eighth consecutive year on Thursday, 14th November 2019 on three floors of Cardiff City Stadium. We had over 300 businesses attend last year’s networking breakfast with WRU CEO Martin Phillips. We’re thrilled to announce that Welsh rugby legend, Shane Williams MBEwill be the event’s keynote speaker. With an international career spanning 11 years, Shane is the all time top try-scorer for Wales and also the most capped Welsh winger and is considered to be one of the greatest wingers of all time. Since his retirement from the sport, Shane has worked as a presenter and as a pundit on BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Shane will be partaking in a Q&A session with event host, Sean Holley during this networking breakfast.

Shane Williams

Shane Williams is a Welsh rugby union player most famous for his long and successful tenure as a winger for the Ospreys and the Wales national team. With an international career spanning 11 years, Shane is Wales’ all time top try-scorer in rugby union, their most capped winger and is known as one of the greatest wingers of all time. In 2008, Shane was selected as the World Rugby Player of the Year, then known as the IRB Player of the Year. Since his retirement from international rugby in 2012, Williams has worked as a presenter on S4C’s Six Nations rugby programme Y Clwb Rygbi Rhyngwladol, and as a pundit on BBC and ITV broadcasts as well as third party shows such as “Inside Welsh Rugby”, commenting on the grassroots of Welsh rugby. In November 2016, Williams was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame. The Welsh rugby legend also has an MBE and will be partaking in a Q&A session at our networking breakfast with host Sean Holley.

   Sean Holley

Sean Holley is a TV Rugby Analyst for BBC Wales Scrum V in studio and outside broadcasts. Sean provides commentary and match analysis In-game and pre/post match. He also works for BT Sport, Sky Sports, S4C and hosts the Sony Award winning ‘Rugby Nation’ weekly show on Nation Radio. Sean also writes technical coaching articles for several publications and has a regular monthly column in the World’s largest selling rugby publication, Rugby World. The former Ospreys head coach is an accomplished Event Host with particular skills as an MC, Q&A host and auctioneer. He is also a renowned after dinner and keynote speaker. Sean’s vast sport, media and business experience has left him with many ‘never before heard’ stories and memories that fascinate his audiences. His effervescent personality also makes him an ideal host for high profile events.

About our Q&A Panel

Lee Byrne

Lee Byrne is a former international rugby union player who won 46 caps for Wales and one for the British and Irish Lions. Byrne featured in the Grand Slam-winning campaign of 2008. The following summer he was selected for the British and Irish Lions’ tour of South Africa. He played his final match for Wales in the Rugby World Cup in 2011. He joined the Dragons in 2014, before being forced to retire from the game due to injury in 2015. Lee now runs rugby camps for young players, and pursues a number of business interests. He is also an ambassador for Tomorrow’s Generation, a dyslexia charity based in Cardiff.

Ian Gough

Ian Gough is a former Welsh Rugby international. His usual position was lock forward. He made his debut for the Wales national rugby union team against South Africa in 1998. Born in Panteg, Gough went on to win 64 caps for Wales including appearances at three Rugby World Cups. During his illustrious career he played for the likes of the Ospreys, Dragons, Leinster, Northampton Saints and London Irish. Following his retirement in 2015, Gough is now Managing Director of Optimum Portfolio, a property business.

Pete Grzonka

Pete Grzonka, born in London, educated in the Netherlands and Edinburgh University and has lived in Wales for the past 14 years with wife Helen and kids, Martha, Max and Monty. 12 years experience heading up commercial departments at various professional sports organisations such as Gloucester Rugby, Glamorgan Cricket, Dragons and Cardiff City. Now runs a sports events business called Lekker Events with partner Brian Hall running sporting dinners, lunches, match day hospitality, hold and race days.
